The Making of

Displayed in Mirakel's Wax Museum are some 80 life-like figures dressed in historic costume. Production of a completed figure takes from 6 to 10 months, since a unique mould has to be created for each wax head.

The unclothed and unpainted raw product is manufactured in London, then dressed in Germany, with the finishing touches added at the producers' workshops in Salzburg. About 50 different steps are involved in creating the finished piece for the Mirakel Wax Museum. In order to produce the figures and build the set, we engaged an array of specialists who have international experience and have worked for numerous other top attractions.
