Sound of Music

Experience the von Trapp family as life-size wax figures in Mirakel's Wax Museum in Salzburg!

"The Sound of Music", a musical by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, was a great success from its first opening curtain in 1959. Six years later, Austria's "Trapp Family Singers" were portrayed in a US movie of the same name, with Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer playing the leads.

To this day it remains one of the most popular films ever made about Salzburg, while the original shooting venues are still visited by countless "Sound of Music" fans from around the world.

The film narrates the family's personal story and their brave resistance to the Nazi regime.

The Salzburg wax museum gives you an opportunity to meet Julie Andrews as Maria von Trapp, along with the movie children of the von Trapp family.
